Part 12 is up!

You know the drill by now. If you wish, leave a one or two word prompt or a single line of dialogue and I will try and use it. This prompt post will be open until midnight GMT Sunday/Monday.

torvawk's prompt

Ok, since I want to know here is my prompt:

How did the planet survive the supernova and get here?

The reason I want to know is usually when a star goes nova, it takes out the whole solar system (aka all the planets). So how did the planet survive and I am also assuming it is now around a new sun. How?

If it helps a variation could be:

How did their planet ...

I was asking myself that same question - and I figured the supernova was in a neighbouring solar system - far enough away that it did not destroy the very planet and solar system but close enough that it destroyed the life on that planet - and maybe damaged some of the other planets or maybe even the sun or maybe even threw some planets off their orbits etc.

I see it now and that does explain a lot. I still want to know more so I will change the prompt:

I still don't understand how the eggs survived.
